Commentary While don Quixote talks with two gentlemen about Avellaneda's Continuation (not represented), Sancho eats a stew of cow-heels (or calves' feet) observed by the innkeeper; "quedóse Sancho con la olla con mero mixto imperio; sentóse en cabecera de mesa, y con él el ventero, que no menos que Sancho estaba de sus manos y de sus uñas aficionado" (59:2).
The expression of the innkeeper (envying Sancho's dinner) is very remarkable.
