Commentary | Teresa Panza asks a friar to write two letters, one for her husband and another one for the Duchess, giving him a cake and two eggs (see the detail).
The figure of the friar is especially remarkable (face, gesture, clothes...). |
Notes | 1 - Johannot has represented a friar although Cervantes says "monacillo" (little acolyte), because Viardot has translated it as "moinillon" (little monk). |
