Commentary | The housekeeper and the niece lay don Quixote in his bed; this bed, with a great canopy, and a crucifix are the only setting of the whole scene.
Don Quixote's figure, scrawny, is especially comical. The niece, knelt down and with her back turned on the viewer, is very remarkable. |
