| Commentary | Don Quixote and Sancho knelt before three peasant girls mounted on donkeys while Sancho introduces one of them to don Quixote as the enchanted Dulcinea.
In the background, a view of El Toboso. Well-known composition; with little novelty. Cruikshank's personal caricature style is quite remarkable; notice the use of short and quick etching lines. |
