| Commentary | Don Quixote, Sancho, the Duke, Duchess and Doña Rodríguez (?) observe the entry of Countess Trifaldi's retinue: fife and drum players in black robes, veiled dueñas, Countes Trifaldi, Trifaldín (giant, bearded and with a scimitar) and three pages holding each point of Trifaldi's skirt.
Very remarkable composition. Drawing, shading and engraving are excellent; detailed figures and setting; good gestures; remarkable style. |
