Commentary | Two different scenes in the same plate:
The first one, in the background: don Quixote, the Duke, Duchess and servants after hunting the wild boar. The second one, in the foreground: don Quixote helping Sancho, who remains hanging from a tree. Drawing, shading and engraving are excellent; detailed figures and setting; good gestures and expressions; remarkable style. |
