| Commentary | Two different scenes in the same plate:
The first one, in the foreground: the members of the squadron of the braying mayors attack don Quixote and Sancho; Sancho has been beaten and has fallen from his donkey to the ground; don Quixote is running away. The second one, in the background: don Quixote is awaiting for Sancho after their encounter with the braying mayors squadron. Drawing, shading and engraving are excellent; detailed figures and setting; good gestures and expressions; remarkable style. |
