Commentary | Representation not too much accurate to Cervantes' text.
According to the text, when four travelers arrive at the inn, Rocinante moves to smell the mares, don Quixote falls down and cries and the innkeeper appears. In the illustration, the innkeeper has already appeared, but either Rocinante or don Quixote haven't moved yet. Drawing and engraving with acceptable quality. |
